Tucson’s Mosaic Quarter: A Game-Changing Sports and Entertainment Destination
Exciting developments are underway in Tucson with the launch of the Mosaic Quarter, a sprawling 90-acre sports and entertainment complex near Kino Parkway and I-10. This $425 million project, led by Mosaic Quarter Development and Knott Development, is set to transform the local landscape and boost the economy in a big way.
Mosaic Quarter Field House:
Covering 131,000 square feet over two floors, the Field House will host sports like basketball, soccer, volleyball, and pickleball. It’s designed with adaptable flooring for maximum versatility and will be powered by a mix of gas and solar energy.
MQ Iceplex:
This 175,000-square-foot ice arena will feature three ice rinks for hockey, figure skating, and more. It’s also the future home of the University of Arizona men’s club hockey team.
More Than Just Sports:
Mosaic Quarter isn’t stopping at sports. The full development plan includes:
3 hotels
10 restaurants
A playground and pavilion for public events
Offices for Knott Development and the Mosaic Foundation
A student-run restaurant in collaboration with Pima Community College
Economic Impact:
The project has a 40-year lease with Pima County, projecting around $2.3 billion in revenue from Phase I. The Iceplex, Field House, and utility plant are expected to be complete by 2026.
Mosaic Quarter will be managed by Edge Sports Global, bringing new energy and opportunities to Tucson’s sports, entertainment, and hospitality scenes. This is an exciting development for Southern Arizona and will bring in a lot of revenue to the city.
